about

Being a part of Hip Hop culture, the longer you stay in this shit; the more scars you accumulate, "Metaphorically speaking", some heal better than others, a few occasionally bleed from the memory of how you got them in the first place. Sparked somewhere in the brain usually around the hours of 2-4 am in the fucking morning. Those are things that drove me to write this song and as the title implies, "See..this is why we can't have nice things." So I have to remind muthafuckahs not to take my contributions for granted in the indie NY rap scene.

From Kool G Rap, to Biggie Smalls. The lines on the road to riches and diamond rings...Has always struck a chord with me and I've always wanted to use it but it had to come from the heart. It had to have meaning.

I finally found it and made it a part of the chorus!

See...This is why we can’t have nice things!

Written by Super King Armor/Enrae L. Mercer

Chorus
See..This is why we can’t have nice things

Verse1
The independence just hit different
It’s a blast like roland emrick film vision
I move from the patronizing and condescending
Backhanded compliments & fueled tensions
Few listen when truth spitting, when the news printing
It’s a given they bring the noose an the new prison
No wonder they spent a life sentence as lieutenants
Dreams stuck in their imagination as loose figments
Turn tail when the devil arrive on new business
I learn this from close encounters and a far distance
Emotions removed from the premise and I don’t miss it
Straight forward detail oriented cold menace
I’m russian roulette you're a gamblers apprentice
Census! Strong rule the weak, smart rule’em both
I found my "IN" stealth mission with the cloak
On your words you’ll choke like Brazzers in ya throat!

Chorus
See..This is why we can't have nice things
On the road to riches and diamond rings
Broke people do poor things(poor thing)
Retribution is the song we all sing!(2x)

Verse2
Whole style strange from young walking X-file
Felt Blu became an exile red headed step child
To a ready red reddington with a steady pen
Into a nitroglycerin thought processing bin
Why waste the words when I can show you better
Bounce troubles off my chest power bench presser
2013 Super King is the hero you needed
2021 Super King is the hero you deserve
You said they the main event nigga they o’duerves
Turn about is fair play nigga this the purge
Nelly furtado watch them fly like a bird
But my shot clip they wings now they face kiss the curb
Don’t you ever talk shit about my creations
I’m the embodiment of human inspiration
Seeds i’ve planted sparked a generation
Bitch! I’m nothing short of fucking amazing!!

Chorus
See..This is why we can't have nice things
On the road to riches and diamond rings
Broke people do poor things(poor thing)
Retribution is the song we all sing!(4x)
